Users can now enjoy update for free either by taking it to Official LG AUTHORISED SERVICE CENTRES IN INDIA...
THE other method is Using lg pc suite IV for updating.... MY Recommendation is SERVICE CENTRES as u may brick it if u are a newbie....

I have updated my p500 to 2.3.3, it performance has certainly increased in terms of Game Playback. Games like modded Asphalt5 and NFS shift are more smooth.However i m disappointed by Video playback capabities. Videos were smoother in Froyo, specially color renderdering now its more pixeled in background. I wonder if i m the only one experiencing this???

but then it started up fine and running well since then.
